Miles 4 Meals

As you know, the Silverdale Whaling Days was cancelled this year, along with "Whale of a Run," out of concern for the health and safety of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The "Whale of a Run" is a major fundraiser for the Meals on Wheels Kitsap organization.

Since the outbreak, Meals on Wheels Kitsap has continued to provide healthy, nutritious meals to older adults throughout Kitsap County. Between mid-March and July 30, their organization has provided 32,441 meals, and helped to keep our seniors nourished and safe at home.

That’s why we’re excited about Miles 4 Meals, a new virtual fundraiser benefitting Meals on Wheels Kitsap. Presented by Kitsap Physical Therapy, this week-long event invites people to get moving and stay active while raising funds to feed Kitsap County seniors. Miles 4 Meals will be held August 23-29.

See the flyer below for all the details, and kindly consider this compassionate, tireless organization dedicated to keep our seniors fed with nutritious food.
